FUND RAISING
Introduction
The Group needs to raise funds of around £10,000 per year to cover general running costs and provide for new equipment and major repairs when they become necessary in the building.
The Scout Group operates many schemes to achieve this. The major schemes are:
- Membership Fees
- Fundraising/Community Events
- Hall Hiring
- Recycling
- Equipment Hire
- Other Schemes
- Obsolete Schemes

The Group also has a fund raising committee to oversee and manage its fund raising activities consisting of a chairperson and team of helpers.

The Group is active in many fund raising activities, both in conjunction with other organisations and by itself. Future fund raising events can be found in the group calendar and on the Kesgrave Community website and the results of past events can be found under reports and photo’s.
The group are involved in a number of recycling initiatives.
The group receives a third of the District Council Recycling Credits given to Kesgrave Town Council for papers, glass, cans and old clothing collected at the Kesgrave Tesco recycling banks. This amounts to around £350 per annum towards group funds. So please dispose of your newspapers etc at Tesco. Every little helps.
The Group has a number of items available for use for local charitable or private functions at reasonable rates. These include:

- Party Shelters
- Patio Chairs and Tables
- Lighting Kit
- Petrol Generators
- Sound System
- Disco Lights
