Group Family Camp 15-17 July 2022 - Scouting for all the family!
After four years, our Group Family Camp is back this year and will take place from Friday 15 - Sunday 17 July 2022 at Vauxhall Farm (between Hintlesham and Capel St Mary). The weekend is an opportunity for the young people in the group to bring along their parents/carers and other family members to experience the fun of scouting.
Please read the information carefully as booking in is not just a case of 'yes or no'! Bookings must be made by 31 May 2022
We have chosen to return to Vauxhall Farm as we believe it has excellent facilities including modern toilets, showers, and great catering facilities! There will be a wide range of activities on offer from backwoods cooking, water activities, archery, and a climbing tower. We will also have wide games, team challenges and a campfire.
There are several options for attending camp. We would like all beavers and cubs to attend with their families. This will allow parents/carers to experience more of camp as well as freeing up section leaders to run activity bases and catering. Scouts are welcome to attend on their own and will be allocated to family teams to take part in the activities. Explorers/Young Leaders may attend on their own and can either choose to take part in the activities in the family teams or they can help with the running of activities or with the catering.
You may choose to arrive on Friday evening, put up your tent, have tea and then join in with some evening activities, or you can arrive early on Saturday morning so that you can put up your tent and join in the activities for the day. If you don't want to camp overnight, then you can just come for the day on Saturday and leave after the campfire in the evening. If you need to borrow a tent/camping equipment, then let us know in the "other information" as we may be able to help.

If you have completed a disclosure check with the Scout Association within the last five years we will be able to automatically process your booking. If you can find this form and tell us when it was issued on the booking form then that would be helpful but is not essential.
If you have NOT completed a disclosure check with us you will need to complete the Adult Information Form (references not required) and hand it to your Section Leader ASAP or complete online and email firstname.lastname@example.org. We will then contact you to meet and provide documentation to complete this check and we hope to run some sessions for this at the Scout Hall during May.
Please visit this link https://forms.office.com/r/VXbHEPy5bq to complete a form to register each of the participants for the camp by 31st May 2022
