Uniform, t-shirts, sweat shirts etc
Scout Shop
The Scout Shop is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Scout Association and is only available online.

Scouts Shops Ltd are the leading supplier of Scouting Uniforms, Badges, Resources, Souvenirs and Camping Equipment.

You can find them at:

Uniform, t-shirts, sweat shirts etc
Each Section has its own uniform. For Squrrels this is red sweatshirt, for Beaversa turquoise sweatshirt, for Cubs a green sweat shirt, Scouts a teal green shirt and Explorers wear a beige shirt.

Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs and Scout wear the Group scarf, which is royal blue. Explorers have their own scarf. Activity trousers are also available, but school trousers are quite acceptable.

There are also T shirts/shorts/fleeces etc but they are entirely optional.

The uniform may be purchased from the a number of locations including:

When a young person joins a section we advise that the uniform is only purchased when they are ready to make their promise (usually after 3 to 4 weeks).

When a member moves from one section to another they may wear their old uniform until they acquire the new uniform. The scarf should not be worn until the young person has made their promise in each section.

Second Hand Uniforms / Recycling Uniforms

Occasionally the Group has second hand uniforms available. Enquiries should be made to your section leader or there may be items of uniform hanging in the foyer at the Scout Hall. If you can make use of these please help yourself and if you wish to make a donation pop it in Celia’s post box in the hall.

If you have any old uniform that you no longer need you are welcome to recycle it in this way.

Group T-Shirts, Sweatshirts etc

The Group also has its own royal blue T-shirt and sweat shirt, which may be worn by members and supporters of the Group.

If you are interested in buying one please contact:

Badge Sewing service
If you are having trouble finding the time to sew on badges we can help.

For a donation (say 50p per badge), which will go to Group funds, we have volunteers ready and able to complete this task.

If you would like to take advantage of this, please either contact Lucy, one of our leaders (details below) or speak to your section leader.

To contact Lucy please:
  1. Message Lucy on 07540 863893 with how many badges need sewing on and the name of the child, plus section they are in.
  2. Make sure everything is clearly labelled with your child's name (eg jumpers/scarf)
  3. Put all items in a labelled bag, with your child’s name, section, and your contact details to avoid mix ups or loss of badges. Lucy will advise best place and time for these to be dropped off.
  4. Place the donation in a labelled envelope marked “Badge Sewing” and drop it into Celia’s post box under the stairs at the hall.

Lucy will do her best to get everything returned as quickly as possible around her volunteering, work and family life.
